GymWatch Stops You From Slacking on Your Exercise
I just heard about Gymwatch.
This tool helps make sure you never cheat. You strap it on and it notices your movement, and how fast you move. So if you're doing a dumbbell swing and are going to high, it will warn you. If you're not doing enough movement, it doesn't count it. If you're swinging too fast, it alerts you .
I'm Stronger Than That
Recently I knew I was going to spend a whole week away from my accountability partner. I could eat whatever I want and have 7 days to do damage (if any) repair. So I did.
The interesting news is in one day, I had ice cream, a hamburger, and extra helpings of fruits and veggies. The damage?
I was surprised to step on the scale and be up almost 2 lbs. This was not a fluke, as the next 6 days I watched what I ate, got at least 7 hours of sleep and 10,000 steps on my fitbit. So by the time I got home I was not only back to where I started, but down a 1lb.
Now there were days that I wanted to push the envelope further and have another cheat day. Well I saw how backwards I went, and how quickly it happened. I know the further back I go, that is jut a deeper hole I have to dig myself out of.
So when the cravings, and the temptations kicked in, I just kept reminding myself of one thing:
I'm stronger than that.
Whatever it was.
I'm stronger than that Candy Bar.
I'm stronger than the ice cream.
I'm stronger than mountain dew.
I will not let you beat me.
I choose to move past you.
and I would do something active. I would not sit on the couch.
So I'm here to tell you, that you are stronger than you think you are.
S.T.R.O.N.G. Television Show Coming to NBC
A new fitness show is coming to NBC. It is Produced by Sylvester Stalone. Strong stands for Start To Realize Our Natural Greatness.
Athlete, model and actress Gabrielle Reece has been named host of NBC’s upcoming competition reality series STRONG from Sylvester Stallone, The Biggest Loser producer Dave Broome and Holly Wofford.
S.T.R.O.N.G. will eliminate one contestant every week. Each contestant will be paired with a trainer—also six men and six women—creating mixed-gender teams of two.
The TV show will give the 20 contestants a look into how he gets by as an almost 70 year old in the gym. There are very few people that are going say that Sylvester Stallone does not look great for his age
Strong features 20 contestants, which include 10 male trainers and 10 female trainees. The trainers work on helping their trainees improve their physical fitness, not only through losing weight but, according to the series, "achieving a balance between mind and body, and getting into shape both physically and mentally".[3] In each episode, the team will train together and compete in physical challenges involving a wide range of disciplines and activities, including mixed martial arts, strength and endurance training, and boxing. After a series of challenges, two teams will face each other in a physical competition in the Elimination Tower, with the losing team being eliminated from the series. The winning team will receive a cash prize of up to $500,000, depending on their overall performance in the show.
The unscripted series will launch with a two-night premiere, which will include two back-to-back episodes on Wednesday, April 13 from 9-11 PM, following a live episode of NBC flagship reality series The Voice; and a regular time slot debut on Thursday, April 14, at 8 PM.
